מתוכננים בה מספר שדרוגים ובניהם קבלת יחידת מחקר חדשה שתשוגר על ידי רוסיה על גבי פרוטון (טיל שילוח) ותכיל בתוכה אף מקום אחסון ומנוחה. כבר היום סין שילחה תחנת חלל אחת, שבתחילה הייתה מאוישת למשך כשנה אך היום פועלת באופן עצמאי, ובהמשך מתכננת סין לשלוח תחנה נוספת. תחנות אלו קטנות מאד יחסית לתחנת החלל הבינלאומית. סין כבר עובדת על תחנת חלל חדישה וגדולה יותר שתורכב משלושה מודלים נפרדים .2018 שהראשון מהם מיועד לשיגור בשנת על פי התכנון תחנה זו תיכנס לפעילות לאחר חיבור שלושת 2022 מלאה בשנת המודלים בחלל. מסקנות: כפי שנאמר, תחנת החלל מיועדת לפעילות . סופה הקרב מעיד שזמנה 2025 עד לשנת עבר והגיע הזמן ל השתרגות טכנולוגית. תחנת החלל הבינלאומית תרמה רבות לחקר החלל ולשיתוף בין לאומי בתחום, שילוב של סטודנטים ותלמידים רבים בניסויים בחלל ואף לשיתוף פעולה נרחב בין מדינות שונות. עם התקדמות הטכנולוגיה, ניתן להעריך כי התחנות אשר מיועדות להחליף את תפקידה של תחנת החלל הבינלאומית יגיעו גם הן לתגליות פורצות דרך נוספות ולתרומה משמעותית והתקדמות בתקר החלל. בעזרת ציוד מתוחכם, מעבדות חדישות ואסטרונאוטים מוכשרים נעשה עוד צעד בניסיוננו להבין את החלל,לחקור אותו ולהשתמש בו כדי להגיע וליישב את הירח, מאדים וכוכבי לכת נוספים. 1.
