Mini-Circuits’ Revolutionary Reflectionless Filter Provides Passband Coverage from 9.1 to 30GHz Mini-Circuits’ new XHF2-912+ reflectionless high pass filter has a passband from 9.1 to 30GHz with a 3dB frequency cutoff at 8.2GHz. It provides 1.5dB passband insertion loss, 2.4:1 passband VSWR, 14.3dB stopband rejection, 2.7:1 stopband VSWR, and 1.26W RF input power handling in the passband (0.25W in the stopband). It comes housed in a tiny 2x2mm QFN package, allowing designers to use it almost anywhere on their PCB. Reflectionless filters employ a novel filter topology which absorbs and terminates stopband signals internally rather than reflecting them back to the source. This new capability enables unique applications for filter circuits beyond those suited to traditional approaches. Traditional filters are reflective in the stopband, sending signals back to the source at 100% power. These reflections interact with neighboring components and often result in intermodulation and other interferences. Reflectionless filters eliminate stopband reflections, allowing them to be paired with sensitive devices and used in applications that otherwise require circuits such as isolation amplifiers or attenuators. Mini-Circuits’ Coaxial DC-Passing 3dB Attenuator, 100 to 500MHz Mini-Circuits’ SAT-6DC-3A+ is a coaxial 6dB attenuator supporting a variety of applications from 100 to 500MHz. This model is capable of passing up to 3ADC current from input to output with 0.1Ω DC resistance. It provides ±0.8dB attenuation flatness, and 1.1:1 VSWR with RF input power handling up to +10dBm.
